We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fresh Vegetables Merchandiser to join our team at Al Aliyo Hydrofarms. As a Fresh Vegetables Merchandiser, you will be responsible for overseeing the distribution of our fresh vegetables. Your main objective will be to ensure the availability of our high-quality, pesticide-free, and nutrient-rich produce in the market while maintaining strong relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating pricing and securing favorable terms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create attractive displays and promotions to drive sales.
- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Plan and manage inventory levels to avoid wastage and minimize holding costs.
- Coordinate with distribution teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery to customers.
- Conduct regular inspections of the produce to maintain quality standards and compliance with regulations.
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to optimize merchandising strategies and achieve sales targets.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any customer inquiries or concerns promptly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fresh Vegetables Merchandiser or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of fresh produce, agricultural practices, and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in using data to drive decisions.
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused to maintain the highest standards for the produce.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
