Position Overview:
The Foundry Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Senior Manager is responsible for heading a team of Supplier Quality Engineers to provide support of Supplier Quality Systems through identification and evaluation of key process metrics, verification of Renesas specific requirements, support of Quality and risk mitigation activities and continuous improvement. Additional responsibilities include serving as a regional liaison for subcontracted foundry manufacturing operations providing support on Quality documentation and implementation of best-known-practices. Individual ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as ISO9001, ISO14001 and IATF16949 requirements.
The Job:
- Head a team of Supplier Quality engineers to drive continuous quality improvements in foundry manufacturing operations
- Liaison between regional foundry subcontractors and Renesas
- Manage quality excursions and drive for effective root cause solutions and preventive actions
- Support Subcontractor process/material change process and site certification audit activities
- Utilize statistical data analysis to identify key issues in process and recommend actions for improvement
- Perform Supplier Quality assistance in the creation, establishment and installation of best-known practices
Your Profile:
- BSc in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 20 years relevant experience in wafer foundry semiconductor manufacturing environment. Previous experience in managing supplier quality in wafer foundry is preferred.
- Experience in utilization of various problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why and fishbone analyses).
- Familiar with external standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001 and IATF16949 with experience in auditing in manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with internal cross functional groups. Proficiency in Mandarin, English and Japanese language is preferred.
